Job Summary

The Financial Accounting Specialist is a key member of the Dutch team and works together with Senior Financial Reporting Manager to realise the Financial Compliance of EPP. As Financial Accounting Specialist you will be partnering with other finance teams in South Africa and Poland to realize the objectives of the team.

The ideal candidate is comfortable in an organization that is continuously developing, identifies, drives and oversees improvement projects related to accounting processes and internal controls in close cooperation with other parties.

Key responsibilities

  • Day-to-day accounting activities (bookkeeping, payments, payroll) for four entities in the Netherlands
  • Preparation of reporting packages for group reporting
  • Reporting for standalone companies in the Netherlands
  • Providing support during the external group audit
  • Together with the Manager, ensuring that the Dutch companies meet all statutory and tax requirements in the Netherlands.
  • Responsibility for improving financial processes
  • Assisting the team with ad-hoc administration tasks

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-5 years experience in a finance role
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Experienced in accounting system e.g. Exact (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge and experience with IFRS
